Supplements That Slap: What I Take, When, and WTF For
A few years ago, “self-care” became the buzzword. Cue the Instagrammable baths, jade rollers, and $20 lavender candles. And while I’m not against a solid soak or a pedicure, let’s be honest—if your body feels like trash, all of that is just lipstick on a pig.
For me, real self-care starts inside. At the cellular level.
I’m always testing new supplements, trying weird hacks, and stacking habits that actually make a difference—but without sucking up a ton of time. If it doesn’t fit into my real life as a mom, business owner, and functioning adult, it’s a no. I like things that are simple, powerful, and make me feel better fast.
So today I’m pulling back the curtain and sharing what I’m actually taking right now, why I take it, and how I work it into my routine.
From liquid mitochondria magic to beef uterus capsules (yep, you read that right), here’s the wild but wonderful mix that’s keeping me energized, focused, and mostly sane.
🌞 Morning Stack: Wake Up & Hydrate Like You Mean It
💧 Electrolytes First Thing
Before anything else, I drink water with electrolytes—ASAP. Why? Because I live in Southern California and our tap water is… well, basically garbage. Even bottled water can feel flat and dehydrating. A good electrolyte mix helps replenish minerals and actually hydrate your cells.
Fave Brand: Right now- Ultima – Great flavors, not sickeningly sweet. Zero chance I’m drinking sugar-water first thing in the morning.
🌊 Quinton Water
This stuff is like ocean plasma for your body. I’ve taken Quinton on and off for over a decade, and every time I stop, I wonder why I ever did. It’s packed with minerals you won’t get from your food or filtered water.
Fun fact: My friend Robert Slovak (aka the reverse osmosis godfather) owns Quinton now. He’s got a great interview on The Skinny Confidential if you want the science-y deep dive.
Get Quinton Hypertonic (if you’re active) and Quinton Isotonic (for daily use)
☕ Coffee, But Make It Raw & Real
Most mornings, I make an iced coffee with raw milk and either honey or agave. And listen, raw milk is not the enemy. It’s the over-processed crap that messes people up. Raw dairy actually helps many people digest better and comes with nutrients your body can actually use.
You can get it at Sprouts or your local farmers market.
Bonus: Helps with allergies, asthma, digestion, and doesn’t taste like sadness.
💊 Pill Party (a.k.a. My Daily Capsule Stack)
🍼 Prenatal
Yes, I’m still taking a prenatal daily. I’ve been pregnant for 18 of the last 24 months, so it just makes sense right now. And honestly? I kind of think more women should take them regardless. Why wouldn’t you want extra nutrients?
🧠 NAC
NAC (N-acetyl cysteine) is one of my ride-or-dies. It supports:
Liver detox (hello, modern life)
Immune system
Brain and mental health
Respiratory function
👑 Primal Queens (Beef Organ Blend for Women)
Okay, stay with me. If your liver’s hurting, eat liver. If your hormones are whack? Maybe your body needs ovaries. I won’t eat this stuff directly (no thanks), so I take it in capsule form.
Primal Queens has beef liver, kidney, heart, AND uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes. Yes, really. It’s formulated specifically for women and I notice a major difference in my mood, energy, and hormones when I take it. Use this link for 10% off
Sea Moss Capsules with Black Seed Oil, Ashwagandha, Turmeric, Moringa, Bladderwrack, Burdock Root, Manuka Honey, Cinnamon
Yes, I take these. Yes, I love them. And yes, I know it sounds like a list of ingredients from a TikTok witch making potions under the full moon. But here’s the thing—this stuff is the real deal. You know I’m all about that food is medicine life, and if there’s a natural way to boost my immune system, balance my body, calm my stress, and glow from the inside out, I’m in.
So what do these magic ingredients actually do?
Let me break it down like you’re sitting on my couch sipping green tea:
🌊 Sea Moss
Nature’s multivitamin. It’s packed with over 90 minerals your body needs. Great for your thyroid, skin, digestion, and immune health. Plus, your skin will look like you sleep 9 hours a night and drink angel tears.
🖤 Black Seed Oil
They literally used to call this “the remedy for everything but death.” It’s that powerful. Anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting, and amazing for your skin and hair.
🧘 Ashwagandha
My nervous system’s BFF. Helps regulate cortisol (aka stress), supports hormone balance, and helps your body adapt to chaos. It’s like emotional armor in a capsule.
🌿 Turmeric
Queen of inflammation fighters. Your joints, skin, gut, and brain will thank you. Bonus points if it’s paired with black pepper or something like cinnamon to boost absorption (which this one is).
🌱 Moringa
High in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. Think of it as a green juice you didn’t have to blend. Great for energy, blood sugar, and immunity.I’ve also read it fights belly fat on an ozempic level (who knows 🤷♀️)
🌊 Bladderwrack
Sounds weird, works wonders. It’s another sea veggie that supports thyroid function, digestion, and helps detox heavy metals and toxins. Yes please.
🌾 Burdock Root
Blood cleanser. Great for skin issues, liver support, and detoxification. Also a powerful antioxidant.
🍯 Manuka Honey
The good stuff. Antibacterial, antimicrobial, and delicious. It helps soothe your gut, boost your immunity, and makes everything taste and feel just a little sweeter.
🌰 Cinnamon
Balances blood sugar, adds a warm kick, and supports brain and heart health. Plus, it makes the capsule taste less like a sea creature and more like cozy spice vibes.
Why I Take It
Because I don’t have time to make 7 different tonics a day.
Because I believe in prevention and nourishment.
Because I like feeling amazing—mentally, physically, spiritually.
And because if I can simplify my supplement stack into one capsule that does this much good, I’m all in.
This isn’t about trends—it’s about stacking the odds in your favor. Supporting your body naturally, intentionally, and consistently. So if you're into glowing from the inside out and living in alignment with what your body actually craves… this one’s for you.
💦 Liquid Gold: My Dropper Routine
These are the liquid supplements I take daily—just a few drops under the tongue or in water. Super quick and super effective.
⚡ NAD (from Rho Nutrition)
Essential for vitality, mitochondrial support, and energy. Some say it’s anti-aging in a bottle. I just know I feel sharper and more alive when I take it.
🔥 Liposomal Glutathione
Detoxification, immune support, inflammation fighting—all in one. Glutathione is your body’s master antioxidant, and I like mine in liquid form so it hits faster.
🧠 Lion’s Mane
My secret weapon for focus. I use my brain a lot, and these drops make me feel like Bradley Cooper in Limitless. I usually take one or two droppers of this depending on the day.
🔷 Methylene Blue
This one’s trending for a reason. It’s being studied for helping with mitochondrial repair, cellular energy, and even possibly anti-cancer properties. For me, it’s been a noticeable game-changer in my energy and mental clarity.
🧬 Final Thoughts: Do What Works, Ditch What Doesn’t
Here’s the deal—I’m not a doctor, and this isn’t a prescription. It’s a peek into what works for me right now. Some of these things I’ve been taking for years. Others are newer obsessions. I tune in, test, and pivot based on how I feel.
I believe your health isn’t a one-size-fits-all thing. It’s a constant experiment. And when you find the right mix? It changes everything. Your energy. Your mood. Your resilience. Your glow.
So skip the guilt trips, skip the gimmicks, and start with the inside. Because true self-care isn’t sexy packaging—it’s what’s fueling you underneath it all.
Let me know if you try any of these or if you’ve got favorites of your own—because I’m always down to add another potion to the mix. 😉
