My Favorite Tiny Kid Items (That Actually Help—and Aren’t Total Trash)
Let’s be real: there’s so much junk people tell you that you “need” when you have kids. I’ve got three—ages 7, 19 months, and 4 months—and I’ve seen it all. Some of it? Useless. Some of it? Absolute life-savers. So here’s my no-BS list of favorite kid items that I’d buy again and again (and again).
These are the ones I swear by—the things that make life easier, healthier, and a little more sane when you're raising tiny humans.
1. Bath Water Filter for the Win
You have to filter your bath water. Especially if you don’t own your home or can’t install a full-house filtration system. This little guy keeps your bathwater clean and chemical-free (because who wants their kids soaking in fluoride, sewage, and yes, even pharmaceuticals that end up in water these days... omg).

The skin is our largest organ, and our babies are basically little sponges. If you’re going to give them daily baths, this is a non-negotiable in my house.
2. The Only Baby Bouncer You’ll Ever Need
I’ve bought all the fancy swings. And honestly? Most of them do nothing. But this Angelbliss Baby Bouncer? Life-changer. It’s simple, effective, and my toddler even uses it when the baby’s not in it. Think: mini trampoline gym meets nap station.

Trust me—skip the $300 spaceship swing and get this instead.
3. The Best Pacifiers, Hands Down
I don’t know how or why, but these pacifiers are magical. Babies LOVE them. That’s all.

4. Teething Hacks That Actually Work
I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve that have helped every time:
Chilled celery sticks
Raw green onions (cut the tips off—babies go nuts for these!)
And my favorite: Baltic Amber Teething Necklaces.
They say it absorbs through their skin and helps reduce inflammation naturally. All I know is, when my daughter wore hers, teething got a lot easier.

5. Formula Favorites: Kendamil & ByHeart
Look, fed is best—however you get there. But if you do end up needing formula, I’m shouting from the rooftops about Kendamil. It’s clean, it’s high-quality, and I swear it’s the best on the market.
When I can’t find it (because hello, constant shortage), I grab ByHeart, which is made in the USA and a solid second choice.
6. Sound Machines = Sanity
I’m not exaggerating when I say this changed our entire sleep game. My babies fall asleep to it, stay asleep longer, and are conditioned to relax when they hear it. I even use one in my room now.

7. The Sleep Class That Saved My Life
This one is near and dear to my heart—Taking Cara Babies is run by Cara, who was actually a former client of mine, but even if she wasn’t, I’d still rave about her course. If you’ve got a fussy baby and want better sleep without just letting them cry until you lose your mind… take her class. It’s gold.

Final Thoughts: Don’t let Instagram or baby store aisles convince you that you need everything. Most of it is just clutter. These are the things that actually make life easier, better, and more peaceful—both for your kids and you.
If you’ve got a favorite I missed, let me know. But if you're starting from scratch or trimming the fat, start with this list and thank me later.
