Beauty Bougie: My Daily Rituals (With Zero Gatekeeping)
I love luxury beauty — the feel, the smell, the aesthetic. But let’s be real: $400 for a face cream? Sometimes, I just can't justify it. Especially when I’ve found products that deliver the same results, for a fraction of the price.
Here’s a peek into what I’m actually using every day (or week) — the products I’ve tested, obsessed over, and keep reaching for. Some are luxe, some are budget, but all of them work.
💧 Skincare (Face)
La Mer...but not really:
I used to be obsessed with La Mer — who isn't? But the price tag hurts. When I looked into the ingredients, turns out the blue Nivea cream in the tin is almost identical — minus one key thing: snail mucin. So here’s my hack:
Step 1: Snail Mucin Serum - you can get it on Amazon or they have amazing deals at Costco (or COSRX if you're fancy)
Step 2: Nivea cream (blue tin, trust me)
Glowy, hydrated, rich-btch skin without the rich-btch prices.
Face Oil (DIY goddess moment):
Lately I’ve been mixing up my own glow potion:
Castor oil (thick + healing)
Jojoba oil (closest to your natural skin oils)
Frankincense essential oil (anti-aging, calming)
I use this before bed when I want to feel like a hydrated queen.
💦 Body
Deodorant drama, solved:
Natural deodorants are a journey. I've tried:
❌ Tom’s — didn’t work
🤷 Salt & Stone — smells amazing, but I still got musty
✅ Wild Deodorant — game changer. Refillable, natural, chic AF, and IT WORKS. I’m talking 24+ hours of coverage.
Body Wash, depending on my vibe:
Ouai St. Barths Cleanser — smells like summer in a bottle
Necessaire Eucalyptus — minimal, spa-like, clean girl aesthetic
Both leave my skin soft, clean, and like I didn’t just bathe in plastic fragrance.
Dry brushing:
Obsessed. I use The Skinny Confidential dry brush before showers — it helps with lymph drainage, smooth skin, and waking my ass up.
💇♀️ Hair
Yes, I went to hair school. So trust me when I say: you’re probably washing your hair too much. I wash mine once a week max. Your natural oils are magic — let them work.
Here’s the routine:
Shampoo: Dae - smell fresh and clean and works awesome for me
Mask instead of conditioner: Glimmr or Spoiled Child . Sometimes I mix them together, not going to lie. I like to shampoo, put on the hair mask, then do everything else and rinse it last.
In-between washes: KMS Hairplay makeover spray -Dry shampoo is THE best in my opinion. It has a cooling agent so it feels refreshing, smells nice, and doesn’t leave that white residue that looks like you have dandruff or a drug problem.
On workout days, I’ll just rinse and condition — no shampoo unless it’s the “official wash day.”
🦷 Teeth
Toothpaste: I’m all about Boka’s charcoal toothpaste — feels clean, looks luxe.
Oil Pulling: I use Guru Nanda’s oil in the mornings when I remember. It’s a vibe and leaves your mouth feeling super fresh.
👀 Extras I Love (Don’t Skip These!)
You might want to add a few of these if you use them regularly — otherwise, ignore!
SPF: I don’t usually use an spf or sunscreen unless I’m like OUT out at the pool or beach. In general, I like Red Rasberry Seed oil which is a natural spf without the junk. Check it out!
Lip gloss: I love a lip oil as my lips have always been dry. Dior has my heart here but trust me- if you like a glossy look with hydration elements? Go for the lip oil.
